Step-by-Step Guide to Setting Up Elgato Chat Link Pro with PS4/PS5

1. Connect the Elgato Chat Link Pro to Your Controller

Start by plugging the male 4-pole 3.5mm jack of the Elgato Chat Link Pro into the headphone jack of your PS4 or PS5 controller. This allows the Chat Link Pro to capture both game and chat audio directly from your controller.

2. Connect Your Headset

Next, connect your compatible gaming headset to the female 4-pole 3.5mm port on the Elgato Chat Link Pro. This ensures that you can still listen to all the action while the Chat Link Pro captures the audio for your stream or recording.

3. Connect the Chat Link Pro to Your Capture Card or PC

The final step is to connect the male 3.5mm jack of the Elgato Chat Link Pro to the 3.5mm analog input port on your external capture card or the Line-In port on your PC. This connection routes the audio from your controller and headset into your recording or streaming software.

Note: Be sure to use the Line-In port on your PC, not the microphone port, as this could cause issues with voltage levels and audio quality.
